Geraldine Goodgion, 87, passed away Tuesday September 9, 2014 in Lubbock. She was born January 21, 1927 in Lubbock to Hugh and Cora Dickson. She married E.W. Goodgion on March 27, 1945. Geraldine was an LV N and had been a member of South Plains and Sunset Church of Christ. Her greatest joy was to care for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by daughters, Carol Mathis and husband Jerry of Lubbock and Traci Brenner and husband John of Midland; son Larry Goodgion and wife Barbara of Borger; sister-in-law Sue Dickson; 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; serveral nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, Clifford Dickson.
Visitation will be tonight, September 10, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm in Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday September 11 at 10 am in Resthaven Funeral Home’s Abbey Chapel with burial to follow in the City of Lubbock Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at resthavenfuneralhome.com
