Glenn Dedmon, age 79, of Lubbock, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2015. Born November 30, 1936, the son of Edgar Lee and Sara Ellen (McAlpin) Dedmon, in Foss, OK. He entered the Air Force at a young age and achieved the rank of Chief Master Sergeant before his retirement, earning the Bronze Star.
Glenn loved God, his wife, family and his country. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lubbock.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, June Dedmon, of Lubbock; his children: Diane (Gary) Henson, of Houston, Janet (Bill) Calaway, of Las Vegas, NV, Carolyn (Nick) Zozula, of Wilburton, OK; Jimmy Dedmon, of Wilburton, OK, Glenda Smith, of Wilburton, OK, Ricky ( Heather) Dedmon, of Groton, CT, Ed Dee Dedmon, of Wilburton, OK; brother, Doyle (Clara) Dedmon, of Elk City, OK; 17 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Marie, and two brothers, Donald and Gene, as well as a great granddaughter Elana.
