

Harley was born in Spur, TX to Bill and LaVera Bingham on November 6, 1934. He was raised by his grandparents Lee and Allie Parker and attended Spur High School where he played football and basketball. Harley started his career right out of high school in the oil field as a roughneck.
He met his soulmate, Nancy Maddoux, in Big Lake in 1955 and they married on April 13, 1956. They were happily married for over 60 years. Together, they had two children, Michael and Brenda and moved to Lubbock in 1965 where Harley went to work for the Texas Railroad Commission from which he retired with over 20 years’ service. During retirement, he consulted in the oil field industry.
Harley’s true loves were his wife, family, his church and especially camping and fishing in Colorado with friends and family.
Harley is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, son and daughter-in-law Michael and Rhonda Bingham and daughter and son-in-law Brenda and Patrick Hicks. He was a proud Papa to five grandchildren; Sean Bingham (wife Kristin), Cody Bingham (wife Cassandra), Eric Bingham, Joshua Hicks and Meagan Sims (husband Caleb) and four great grandchildren; Jack, Emmalyn, Logan and Luke.
