Harry Albert Pollet, 71, passed away Tuesday July 23, 2013 in Amarillo. He was born October 1, 1941 in Caney, Kansas to Harold and Muriel Pollet. He married Janet Ream September 24, 1966 in Ropesville, TX.
Harry spent 20 years serving in the US Air Force, then 16 years in the Hockley County Sheriff’s Department and 7 years with the Levelland Wal-Mart. He enjoyed fishing and bowling.
Harry is survived by his wife Janet of Ropesville; sons, Chris Pollet of Amarillo and Charles Pollet of Las Vegas; daughter Cindy Pollet of Ropesville; Sister Haroldine Shy of Coffeyville, KS; brother Wesley Pollet of Desoto, Tx; grandchildren Madison Pollet of Plainview and Mason Pollet of Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Jack Shy and granddaughter, Kimberly Pollet.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday July 27 at 2:00 pm in the First Baptist Church in Sundown with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Casey Powe Memorial Scholarship, 1007 8th St, Shallowater, TX 79363 or favorite charity.
