Herbert passed away to be with his Lord on January 8, 2019. He was born to Ernest Glenn Williams and Alice Holt Williams in Stephens County, Oklahoma on May 21, 1923.

The family soon moved to Farwell, Texas, where he graduated from high school. After serving in the Army during WWII, he attended West Texas State University, Sam Houston University, University of Missouri and Texas Tech University.

Herbert and Erie Etta Cannon were married August 25, 1950, in Clarendon, TX.

His career interests include teaching high school agriculture and counseling. Other interests include farming, ranching, raising and racing horses and announcing high school football and basketball games.

He was preceded in death by his son Dan E. Williams, his parents and brother Ernest Glenn Williams III.

He is survived by his wife Erie Etta, Sister Carolyn Cartrite as well as several nieces and nephews.

Even with his many interests, his family, home and friends always came first.

Herbert and Erie wish to express their appreciation to Carillon and staff for the special care he was given the past four years as well as Hospice of Lubbock for their loving care these last few weeks. God Bless you all.
