Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 2pm at Oakwood Baptist Church with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held tonight from 5-7 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Ilene was born on March 7, 1921 to Bill and Texie Ann Worley, in Monroe, Texas. She married Glen Cannon on June 18, 1939 in Levelland, Texas. Ilene was a past member of the Rebekah’s Lodge of Levelland and a longtime member of Oakwood Baptist Church where she was involved in several different ministries. She had a deep love for all kinds of animals, especially her chihuahua Rocky. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her son; Doug Cannon and his wife Glennia of Lubbock, one sister; Quanah M. Mulkey of Levelland, 3 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 42 years and several siblings.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to Oakwood Baptist Church.
