Jack Gerloff

Celebration of Life services for Jack Gerloff, 86, of Lubbock will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Dr. Steve Doles, Dr. Jerry Joplin and Terry Groves officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Resthaven Funeral Home.

Jack passed from this life Monday, January 03, 2011 in Lubbock.

Jack L. Gerloff, Jr. was born August 7, 1924 in Old Glory, Texas to the late Jack L. Gerloff, Sr. and Katie (Herttenberger) Gerloff. He married, Thelma Davis, December 20, 1974 in Lamesa, TX. He owned Hub Furniture in Midland and Odessa in 1960 was co-owner of Timely Sales and Rentals for 20 years and was also a sales rep. for Electrophonic. Jack starred in his own TV Show, Hub Jamboree.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Ray, Gene, and Cecil Gerloff and a son in law, Ron McIlroy.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Thelma, sons; Ron Gerloff and wife, Kathy of Georgetown, and Larry King and wife, Ramona of Lubbock, daughter; Kay McKinney and husband, Frankie of Lubbock, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Cumberland Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
