James ( Jimmy) Leo Huseman, 64, passed away April 30, 2025 after his 2 year, hard fought battle of liver cancer. He was born on January 26, 1961 in Dimmitt, TX to Elmer and Norma Huseman. He grew up in Nazareth, TX and graduated from Nazareth High School in 1979. He worked at the Co-op in Dimmitt, Tx where he met his wife Lori. Then they moved to Lubbock where he worked for the post office for 35 years.
You would find him watching and going to sporting events, especially his grandsons' games, his Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys. He was always helping others whenever he could and dedicated several years helping his wife and being there for his kids. He never had a selfish bone in his body when it came to taking care of others. He loved watching his kids and grandkids grow and being their #1 supporter.
Jimmy is preceded in death by wife, Lori Huseman; parents, Elmer and Norma, and Mildred Huseman; father and mother in-law, Lonnie and Janice Bell; son, David Burnam; brother-in-law, Rick Bell.
Jimmy is survived by; daughters Samantha Benson of Lubbock, TX, and Chealsie Spence and husband Vernon of O'Donnell, Tx; brother, Ronnie Huseman of Nazareth, Tx; brother-in-laws, Mike Bell of Hereford, TX and Jeff Bell and wife Jennifer, of Graford, TX, Zito Sartarelli and wife Katherine of Florida, sister Susan Hildebrandt and husband of Canada; grandkids, Brody, Brayden, Jay, Tucker, and Courtney, and one on the way. Many Uncles, Aunts, and cousins who he cared so dearly for.
There will be a viewing Saturday, May 3, 2025, 4pm-6pm at Resthaven Funeral Home in Lubbock, TX.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025 at 2pm at Greenlawn Church of Christ with a graveside that follows at Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock, TX.
Serving as pallbearers are Bo Hoelting, Kenny Gerber, Norman Gerber, Bryan Huseman, Troy Huseman, Gerry Kleman, Vince Venhaus, Brody Benson, Brayden Benson, Jay Spence and Tucker Spence.
