James William Marable, 68, passed away Tuesday January 26, 2016 in Lubbock. He was born July 13, 1947 in Clarksville, Tennessee to Marvin Eugene and Bettye Marable. He graduated from El Paso Coronado High School in 1966 and earned a degree in Agriculture Science from Austin Peay University in Clarksville, TN. James married Kathleen Geary on January 28, 1989. He worked in the Oil & Gas industry in the accounting department. Jim served in the U.S. Army as a Ranger during the Viet Nam War 1968-1971. After retirement Jim loved to work on projects in his barn.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen; children, Brennan Marable and wife Shavonne of Lubbock, Colleen Hamilton and husband Craig of Lubbock, Kyle Shebat and wife Suzanne of Krum, TX and Patrick Marable of Ft Worth; grandchildren, Blythe Brock, Kaitlyn and Ethan Shebat, and David Marable; sisters, Bettye Jean Blackwell and husband Floyd of Ruidoso, NM, Pamela Bowman and husband Rodger of Clarksville, TN and La Juan Marable of Springfield,MO. He was preceded in death by his parents.
