To describe Jamie, I wouldn’t have enough time or space, for she was astonishing in so many ways. She was a senior at Frenship High School and had a passion for culinary arts and was a huge fan of ramen. Jamie was a seventeen-year-old girl that enjoyed the little things in life like nature and all the furry and scaly friends that go along with it. She was the one that had a pet bunny at all times in Minecraft. Ms. Jamie was the one of the kind flower child who wasn’t afraid to say what everyone else was thinking. Jamie-Lea enjoyed her music, theater, and especially doodling. The child drew on anything and everything. Hand her a Lego set and it was only a short matter of time before it was put together. She was absolutely brilliant and could accomplish anything she set her mind too; always up for a challenge and had to be the best. Her smile and contagious laugh we will yearn for along with the quick-witted sassy comebacks that would have our sides hurting from the laughter. Jamie was there for every one of her siblings and was her Mom’s #1 fan when it came to her baked goods. The Beautiful child was and will always be greatly loved and she is tremendously missed.
“Lovely things must finish and chapters must be punctuated as life lets us borrow beautiful moments and we must pass through something called time… All that is wonderful must show itself to a place where remembering is its new form of living.”
Jamie-Lea is survived by her parents Jesse and Jennifer Cuevas; siblings: Joey Cuevas, Mary-Jane Cuevas, Chase Rosser, Anabelle Jones, and Kaitlynn Jones; “the other mom” Rana Weber; grandparents, Grace Cuevas, Ken and Diane Holland with all the extra aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A gathering for Jamie-Lea will be held Friday, October 14th, 2022 from 2pm – 5pm at Resthaven Abbey Chapel, 5740 19th St, Lubbock, TX.
