Jane Cunliff Gray passed away November 8, 2018. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life of 66 years at 4 p.m. on Monday, November 12, 2018, at First Church of the Nazarene, Lubbock.Jane was born on October 19, 1952 to the late Edward and Elizabeth (Wilson) Cunliff in St. Louis, MO. She completed high school in St. Louis at John Burroughs School and went on to graduate from Texas Christian University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Education. Although serving as a teacher for years, no single job title could ever fully contain her talents. She was well known for her performances as a storyteller throughout the community, often as her favorite character, Mrs. Clause, through whom she loved bringing the joy and magic of the holiday season to the children of Lubbock. Her performances spilled over into daily life where anyone could become her audience. She truly shined performing as GG, a loving and enthusiastic grandmother to four, to whom she passed on the fantastic gift of imagination. She excelled in the role as a loving wife of 43 years to Andy, with whom they shared years of ranching, providing medical assistance to people in the community, and raising their family together. She provided a constant source of love, support, and laughter to not only their friends and patients but to everyone she encountered.Survivors include her husband, Dr. Andy John Gray of Lubbock; sons, John Anthony Gray and wife, Jessica of Boyd, TX; and Edward Brian Gray and wife, Jessica of Austin, TX; grandchildren Aiden Gray, Quentin Gray, William Gray, and Cora Gray, and a sister, Ann Polster and husband Carl of St. Louis, MO.
