A celebration of life service for Winniefred Jeannette Gaither, 77, of Lubbock, will be at 10:00 am Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Parkway Drive Baptist Church with Brother Sidney Fallin and Brother Pat Githens officiating. Interment will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Jeannette passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012. She was born Novemeber 27, 1934 in Bard, NM to Augusta Issac Baucom and Teddy Ella (Pugh) Baucom. She married Elvert Bentley Gaither Jr. June 29, 1951 in Tahoka.
Jeannette was preceded in death by her father Gus Baucom, her mother, Teddy Baucom, her husband Bentley Gaither, and great grandson.
Survivors include: five daughters, Wanda (Al) Riopel, Kathy Harris, Debra (John) Ragains, Bennie Banning, and Jan Gaither; one son, Bentley III (Buddy) Gaither (Pam); 15 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Memorials may be made to Parkway Drive Baptist Church stove fund.
