Upon his return from service, Jerry married the love of his life, Betty Kitchens in July of 1956. Mr. Morton was a butcher for many years leading up to the ownership of the Morton Meat Market. He and his wife Betty owned and operated "Miss Betty's", a fine restaurant and bakery. Jerry Morton loved and adored his wife Betty and their son Billy Glenn.

In the past few years, Mr. Morton spent his days with his baby brother Eddie and his family. Jerry loved to cook and spoil everyone around him. He would share with those around him what a blessed life the Lord had given him!
