Jim was a kind and loving man who always put family and friend first with anything they needed. He was always a phone call away to help the nieces and nephew whether it was a needed ride, fix a flat or just needed to talk. He was the big brother to look after his sisters and was deeply loved for all his support he gave.
Jim graduated Corondo High School in Lubbock. He attended Texas Tech University and graduated from Lubbock Christian College in Lubbock with a finance degree. He was also a member of Phi Kappa Psi at Tech.
Jim and his Dad, James, started Stewart Rock and Stone in 1989, being one of the few rock/boulder and landscape companies in Lubbock at that time. He was currently vice president of Texas Star Icehouse, Inc and partner of Texas Star Fireworks, both companies he worked in partnership with his sisters. Everything was a family affair. Jim was an avid deer and bird hunter that kept him busy each fall. He hunted many deer, and many are still living.
Jim is proceeded in death by parents James and Mary Stewart. He is survived by sisters Gail Wilcoxson of Lubbock, Frances Taylor and husband Eric of Lubbock, nieces Christine Covington and husband Sammy, Traci Campos and husband CJ, nephew Stefan Taylor, great nieces and nephew Catlin Covington, Parker Covington, Alexia Campos, Elayna Campos, Ryden Campos.
