He was born in Mount Pleasant, TX on November 22, 1936. John graduated high school in New Home, TX in 1955, and had a long career in farming and trucking.
John, is survived by his children Christopher Lee Ford, Linda Sue Ford Hodel and John Russell Ford and their spouses, along with his three stepchildren Keith Mittel, Tim Hickman, and Ben Mittel, 11 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren and his brother Nick Ford.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Ford, his parents John Leslie Ford and Hazel Harvey Ford, his sister Aubrey Faye Ford, brothers Harry Ford and Jerry Cody Ford.
A celebration of life for John will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Resthaven Abbey Chapel, 5740 West 19th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79407.
