Joyce Belle Bailey

Joyce Belle Bailey, 83 of Lubbock, passed away surrounded by her family on December 22, 2014. Joyce was born on February 24, 1931 in Tahoka, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents Pat & Mattie Healy and a brother, Marvin Healy. She married the love of her life Carroll Bailey on May 15, 1950. She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ. She was a wonderful, sweet & devoted wife, mother and grandma. Where ever they needed to move she was ready to go. She also was one fine cook, she could make the best dressing & Christmas candy in the country. She loved her kids, grandkids, & great grandkids with all her heart.

She is survived by her husband, Carroll Bailey of Lubbock, after 64 and a half years of marriage, Daughter, Karen Bailey McCoy of Lubbock, Son, Scott Bailey of Wellman.

Grandchildren: Bailey & Todd McCoy, Kirby & Celeste Bailey, Patrick Carroll, Ashley Valdez

Great grandchildren: Kynlee, Cambrynn and Londynn McCoy, Jayden & Daniel Carroll, Anatasia & Jasper Valdez, many nieces & nephews, friends

Visitation will be held on Monday December 29, 2014 from 6pm to 8pm at Resthaven Funeral Home.

Services will be held on December 30, 2014 at 10am in the Abbey Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home, with Brett Hogland & Steven Wallace officiating. Pallbearers will be Karter Long, Kendall Long, Kyle Reddell, Kevin Reddell, Colby Morris, and Mark Lancaster.
