Joyce Elaine Garrison

She attended high school in Olton, Texas and graduated in 1960 and later graduated from Texas Tech in 1964 with an Elementary Education Major. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Girl Scout Leader and Lifetime membership award member of United Methodist Church. Her favorite pastime was fishing and her grandkids.

She was preceded in death by parents, Hurshell Robert Curtis and LaVernia Funderburk of Olton, TX; and a brother, Donald Ray Curtis of Mesa, AZ.

Survived by her husband, Harvey of Lubbock; children, Kerry Don Garrison and wife Kim of Amarillo, TX, Jana Michelle Garrison of Lubbock, TX; grandchildren: Kelsey Don Garrison of Amarillo, TX, Erika Nichole Miller and Todd Alan Miller of Lubbock, TX; great-grandchild, Jaxson Raven Mattingly of Lubbock, TX.

A special thanks to the ladies with Southhaven Nursing Home for their care during the past 5 years.

Visitation will be held at 12:30PM Tuesday at Resthaven Funeral Home and Graveside services will be at 2:00PM Tuesday at Resthaven Memorial Park.
