
June Fletcher passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018. We will gather for fellowship and remembrance from 2 pm to 5pm on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life of 82 years at 10 am Monday, December 17, 2018, at the Parkway Drive Baptist Church followed by burial in the Idalou Cemetery. G. and Frances (Coats) Whitehead in Amarillo, TX. She married Robert Fletcher on August 2, 1952 in Glen Rose. They moved to Lubbock in 1959 and joined Parkway Drive Baptist Church. June was a strong Christian woman and lived her life for the Lord and family. She just enjoyed life, being a wife, homemaker and cooking for her family. She loved children and was a caregiver in her home to numerous children over the years. June had a beautiful alto voice and loved to sing, especially in church.Survivors include her husband, Robert Fletcher; children, Robbie Fletcher of Buffalo Springs; Rhonda Fletcher and Barbara Brown both of Lubbock; grandchildren, Allison Flores, Alaina Fletcher, Cory Carney, and Candy Navarrette; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Susie Adams and husband, Robert; Janie Smith, Ada Smith; and Bennie Whitehead and wife, Ginger.She was preceded in death by her parents and 8 siblings.
