Karen blessed this earth with her presence and patience as a teacher for over 23 years. She dedicated much of her time volunteering for many different organizations and left her mark in this world as a teacher and philanthropist.
She was a strong willed, sassy, smart, loving woman with a great sense of humor. Karen enjoyed the world both on and off paper. She loved reading as much as travelling; seeing places and making friends wherever she went. Her talents and passions were innumerable, but Karen will be remembered for her dedication to the arts and her adoration towards her loved ones.
She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Jimmy Villa; brother, Chris Martens; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Please join the family as they honor and celebrate her life on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 1pm in Resthaven Funeral Home Abbey Chapel. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
