Larissa Borg

Larissa Borg, 40, of Lubbock took the hand of her Savior on October 12, 2014. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 16, 2014, 7-9 pm for a visitation at Resthaven Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held Friday October 17, 2014, in the Abbey Chapel of Resthaven at 1:00pm. The interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Larissa was born on September 26, 1974, in Santa Fe, NM to Larry and Evalee Dool. She attended school in Amarillo and graduated as a “Sandie” from Amarillo High. She met Rad Borg in Lubbock, TX and they grew to love one another serving in children’s and youth ministry. After dating for four years and learning what marriage is supposed to be like according to God’s word, they married March 3, 2001. They then served for several years as marriage mentors for many precious dating, engaged, and newly-wed couples. The road trips with many of these couples to Glorieta, NM, to attend marriage conferences were yearly highlights. Together, Larissa and Rad shared a faith-filled life.

Larissa was a strong woman of God and a faithful prayer warrior for many. Her faith in God brought her to be a blessing to others. She enjoyed ministering to everyone she met, shopping (i.e., “saving her husband money”), many crafts, decorating, scrapbooking, and doing her own nails. Her family and friend’s babies were “her” babies, and she had a special love and connection with so many of these children - she was “a-Rissa”,“Tissa” and “RissaRad.”

She leaves her friends and the following family members with the challenge to continue to share her love for God - her husband, Rad; mother Evalee; Russell and Shirley Borg; Regan and Sheryl Borg; Stephanie, Drew, & Tucker Jennings; Ryan , Monica & Aubrey Borg; Courtney Borg; Russ, Kayo, Naomi and Anna Borg; Darrell Borg; and Janelle Battles.
