Lucy Martin

Lucy graduated from Post High School in 1973. She married Walter “Glenn” Martin on October 8, 1977 in Post, Texas. She attended South Plains College nursing program and received her LVN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mary Castello and Rosie Trevino; father-in-law, Leland Martin.

She is survived by her beloved family, husband, Glenn; their son, Lance Martin and his wife, Melissa; her grandchildren, Maureen and Max; sisters, Diana Valdez, Susan Valdez, Rita Cleveland, Nora Arellano and husband Louis, Lesa Villegas and husband Romeo; brothers, Eddie Valdez, John Valdez and wife Katy; brothers-in-law, Mike Martin and wife Peggy, Tino Trevino; several nieces, nephews and many friends who loved and adored her and will greatly miss her!

Lucy, loved being a wife, mother and “Nana”; her grandchildren were the light of her life. She never met a stranger and always opened up her home for family gatherings. She will be remembered for her kind and generous heart, and sweet smile.

The family will receive guests from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 21, 2018 at Resthaven Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, 6310 114th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79424.

Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Terrace Cemetery in Post, Texas.
