Lulabelle married Melvin Ray Karr on June 21, 1957, and were married 54 years. Together they began a life to include a son, Kendall Jay and a daughter, Katharine Jo.
Lulabelle’s journey through the remainder of her life was that of a devoted housewife and mother. Lulabelle’s greatest passion was family. She happily stayed connected to family in Missouri and Iowa after moving to Texas in 1970. Lulabelle’s children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were of significant importance to her in her daily life.
Lulabelle was predeceased by her husband, Melvin R. Karr, her father Lewis R Brown, mother Geraldine Brown and brother Lewis R Brown, Jr.
Surviving family members include - Kendall J Karr (son) of Canyon, Texas, Katharine J Runnels (daughter) of New Braunfels, Tx and five married grandchildren: Jason Runnels, Kyle Martinez, Camille Kennedy, Christine Presley, and Courtney Zuidema. Lulabelle had nine great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored.
A visitation will be held on December 30, 2025, from 10:00 am to 10:45 am at Resthaven Funeral Home. A committal service will follow at 11:00 am at Resthaven Memorial Park.
