

21, 2024 in Lubbock, Texas at the age of 86 surrounded by family and loved ones.
Born September 24, 1938 in Levelland, Texas she was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister and
friend. Margaret was the ray of light and laughter for her family leaving behind one brother,
Don Crossland, a daughter, Suzann Putman (Russell), a son Randy Lowrie (Diane), a son Shane
Lowrie (Ann), and a daughter Lisa Wanless (Richard). She is also survived by her much loved
grandchildren, Tate Melton (Jaimsi), Cody Martin, Kori Zacarias (Willie), Maddison Putman,
Lane Lowrie (Lela), Kacee Aguilera (Alex), Nathan Lowrie (Madison), Kimera Greely (Jabar),
Alexandria Collins, and Kayla Wanless. Also surviving are her great grandchildren, Tatum, Sage
and Raegan Melton, Logan and Landen Lowrie, Octavian Cordova, Grady Carmichael, Jeremiah
and Kinley Greely, and Jonathan and Izaak Zacarias.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Jeffrey Marvin and Grady Shannon, her husband Lavoid
Lowrie, a granddaughter Amber Martin, her parents Lynn Crossland and Dorothy Loveless
Crossland Lamm as well as her brothers Grady Wayne, Travis (Buster) Crossland, and sisters
Marilyn Sales and Dorothy (Susie) Crossland.
A woman of profound faith, Margaret dedicated her life to her Lord through daily witness. She
traveled to New York on a youth mission trip with Church on the Rock that forever changed her.
She worked side by side with our dad on the family farm in the Ropesville community until they
retired and moved to Lubbock due to their health. Her creative spirit knew no bounds.
Margaret was a Master Gardener, passionate about painting, cooking, canning, bowling and
sewing. We will always remember her laughter and smile. Her legacy of kindness and devotion
will continue to inspire those who knew her. Her memory will be treasured and her presence
surely missed.
