Maria Olga Zimmerle

Our loving Mother, sister, Grandma, Aunt, and friend, Maria Olga Zimmerle, 71, went to be with the Lord September 17, 2013 in Lubbock, TX surrounded by her children and sisters. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Friday September 20, 2013 from 5 to 7pm in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel followed by Rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace at 11am on Saturday September 21.

She was born May 14, 1942 to José and Margarita Marmolejo. She worked at Covenant Medical Center for 27 years and retired in 2007. She had a big family that she loved spending time with. She enjoyed family cookouts, going garage selling, going to the lake, dancing, and taking trips. She also loved to cook of her family and get together for special occasions and make tamales. Some people knew her as the tamale lady. She was a big Texas Tech fan as well. She lived her life to the fullest!

She was preceded in death by her mother Margarita Vega, her infant son Rocky Campos, and her husband Raymond Zimmerle. Her survivors include Father José Marmolejo of Pharr, TX, son Juan Campos Jr and wife Clemencia, daughter Maria Rosales and husband Ricky, son Fred Campos and wife Elizabeth, daughter Terry Losoya, Son Jesse Rocha Jr, and son Anthony Zimmerle and wife Lacey all of Lubbock; 8 brothers and 4 sisters, 18 grandkids, and 14 great grandkids. Pallbearers will be Eric Rosales, Anthony Losoya, Nico, Julian, Jason and Gilbert Campos, and Rex, Ricky and Hector Martinez
