

Louise Fisher, 89, beloved mother, friend and “MeMe” passed from this life to one as a heavenly angel on Nov 17, 2013. Louise was born Oct 16, 1924 in Lubbock County, Tx and married the love of her life, Jack Fisher in 1942. They raised and loved two children, “Tooter” and Paul Shane. She worked as a cotton classer for many years and enjoyed “Hand & Foot” where she was acknowledged with the “Sweetest Smile” award, and singing in the Senior Choir at Highland Baptist Church.
She immaculately cared for her roses in her back yard and enjoyed painting. Louise loved basketball from playing at Belle's High School to having season tickets to the Lady Raiders. She enjoyed taking pictures and has numerous albums to showcase. In 2010, Louise moved from Lubbock to Grapevine to be closer to her son, Paul, and daughter in law, Tanya.
The family wishes to express gratitude for loving care to Woodridge Rehab and Nursing Center in Grapevine and to the staff at Vitas Hospice. Louise was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Jack, in 1985; and her dear son, “Tooter” in 1999.
SURVIVORS: Son, Paul and wife, Tanya of Grapevine; sister, Hazel Sublett of Moore, OK; brother, J.M. (Bud) Haggard, and wife, Helen of Lubbock; Step brothers, Melvin Haggard, and wife, Sheryl of Lubbock and Alvin Haggard of Tennessee. Grandchildren: Julie Hawkins, Brandon Fisher, Mandy Leonard, Brooke Matkin & Brent Fisher Great Grandchildren: Graham, Harris & Britt Hawkins, Kasen Leonard and Harper Fisher; Nieces, Linda Walden, Loretta Jones and Denese Hedrick; Nephews, Randall Haggard and Dwight Sublett as well as the Haggerton girls, Megan, Mallory and Madison.
Pallbearers: Randall Haggard, Dwight Sublett, Paul Fisher, Brandon Fisher, Ryan Leonard and Brent Fisher.
Louise will always be remembered for her loving spirit and sweet smile and was looking forward to an eternity with Jesus in heaven. We will miss her dearly, especially Paul, but know that her new body is now perfect and she is saving us a room in one of the many mansions in heaven.
Celebration of Life will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, Nov 21 at the Abbey Chapel at Resthaven in Lubbock with visitation from 6-8 PM on Wednesday, Nov 20.
