

Marva Jean "Marti" Dozier was born on August 31, 1940 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Maurice Lee and Evva Anita Pulley. She met the love of her life, James Robert "Bob" Dozier at John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City, and they married on September 29, 1957. His job took them to Lubbock, Texas, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Arlington, Texas, and then back to Lubbock in 1973. They returned to Oklahoma City in 1988. Bob passed away in 2003, and Marti retired then moved back to Lubbock in 2009.
Marti had been a top producing Realtor in Lubbock for many years and was an active member of the Lubbock Association of Realtors as well as the West Texas Home Builders Association and auxiliary. She was a co-owner of Jim Wills Realtors and had also been an agent for Pat Ham Realtors and Century 21 John Walton Realtors. Prior to her retirement, Marti had worked as an escrow officer for Stewart Title in Oklahoma City.
As much as Marti enjoyed her real estate career, her true joys were her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her beloved dogs.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kellye and Mike Hefner of Lubbock, and son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Autumn Dozier of Flower Mound; grandchildren: Justin Hefner and wife Sarah of Homewood, Alabama, Jordan Barnett and husband Chase of Azle, Texas, Ryan Dozier and Ashleigh Guerrero of Denton, Texas, and Tyler Dozier of Flower Mound, Texas; great-grandchildren: John, William, and Benjamin Hefner, Avery and Emma Barnett, and Dallas Dozier; sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Walter Tiernan, and sister-in-law, Linda Garrett, all of Oklahoma City.
