On Friday, November 25, 2022, Mary N Carter was called home to her Lord and her beloved husband, Jimmie. Mary was born on July 25, 1939 in Haskell, Oklahoma to Albert Leon Shelton Moore and Eva Evangeline Floyd. She met Jimmie (James Ross Carter) on a blind date October 21, 1961. She and Jimmie married on June 1, 1963 in Wichita, Kansas. They were married for 56 years and were blessed with two children, Stacy Carter of Lubbock, Texas and Gil Carter, also of Lubbock. They were also blessed with a daughter-in-law, Susan Carter, and two beautiful granddaughters, Ashley Carter and Alyssa Carter. Mary was and is a blessing to us all.
Visitation is on Sunday, December 4th from 5pm-7pm at Resthaven in Lubbock, Texas. Graveside services are on Monday, December 5th at 10am at Resthaven. Church services follow at 11:30am on December 5th in the Chapel at First United Methodist Church in downtown Lubbock, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in the name of Mary N Carter can be made to the American Cancer Society.
