

Funeral services for Maria Elena also known as Mary Helen Flynn, 75, of Lubbock, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 8:37pm. Mary Helen Flynn passed away at her home, in Huntington Beach, California. By her side were her two daughters, Dianna Lindsay, Kristina Dufek and granddaughter, April and great granddaughter, Oddiena. Mary Helen had been fighting Parkinson’s disease for 10 long years. God has finally ended the battle against her disease and has asked her home.
Mary Helen was born December 27, 1945 in Harlingen, Texas. She married Charles W. Flynn in 1973 in Littlefield, Texas. She has been a resident of Lubbock and a devoted member of First Christian Church for 35 years before moving to Huntington Beach, California in 2008. Once established in Huntington Beach, she continued serving the Lord and became a member at the First Christian Church of Huntington Beach for 13 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband Charles W. Flynn, on March 16th, 1986, and two grandsons Ryan Lindsay and Tyler Dufek.
Mary Helen is survived by one older brother, Rudy Espinoza, with his wife Janie, eldest daughter Dianna Lindsay, with her husband Robert, along with their children April, Sierra, Thomas, Shady, Bobby, and, four great granddaughters, Isabel, Oddiena, Brooklynn and Breann, youngest daughter, Kristina Dufek with her husband Marty along with their children, Erica, Jade, Delaney, and, along with one great grandson, Cash Dufek.
The Viewing for Mary Helen Flynn will be Friday, March 12th from 12:00 to 1:00 PM and services will from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at First Christian Church followed by the burial at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Lubbock, TX.
