Mary Lee Williams

Our beloved Nanny, Mary Lee Williams, was welcomed Home into the loving arms of God on December 26, 2010, after a long battle with Alzheimer's in Dimmitt, Texas. Mary Lee grew up in New York State in a loving home.

Funeral services will be held at 10am on Thursday, December 28, 2010, at Resthaven Funeral Home’s Abbey Chapel with Pastor Derrel Evins officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5pm to 7pm at Resthaven Funeral Home.

She was the only child of Donald and Isabel Alderman. Mary Lee graduated with honors from Elmira College with a Chemistry degree on June 19, 1952. She worked at Cornell University where she met Dr. David Williams and married him on October 8, 1955. They moved to Sheridan, Indiana to start his veterinarian practice and start a family. They moved to Lubbock, Texas in 1965 to continue his career.

Dr. David Williams preceded her in death on January 14, 1989.

Mary Lee is survived by her loving children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her children include Kathy Weston and her husband Dusty, Karen Raymond and her husband Mitch, Linda Kenjura and her husband Ray and Andy Williams and his wife Camille. All of the grandkids, Josh, Chris, Jennifer, Wisper, David, Britt, John, Michael, Carsyn and Colton and all the great grandkids will all remember Nanny as a loving, funny and giving grandmother.
