Michael was born on May 13, 1971, in Glendive, Montana, to his parents, Charles Hensley LaFoy and Mary Lynn LaFoy. He later moved to Midland, TX, where he attended high school. He married his high school sweetheart, Mariesha LaFoy, and together they built a life and a family. They raised six beautiful children—four daughters and two sons. His children were the joy of his life.
Michael had a deep love for the outdoors and found peace in God’s creation. His tender heart and childlike spirit made him a natural adventurer, especially during camping trips with his children.
In recent years, Michael discovered a creative passion for making bracelets and sewing. He generously shared his handmade creations with friends and family, each piece a reflection of his thoughtful nature.
Michael is survived by his mother, Mary Lynn LaFoy; his wife, Mariesha LaFoy; his children, BreAnna LaFoy; MeKelee and Steven Lively; Brentley and Katy LaFoy; Christian and India LaFoy; KaLissa LaFoy; and Laura LaFoy; and his beloved granddaughter, Grace LaFoy, who affectionately called him “Momo.”
His faith in God’s Power and Goodness was and will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be held Thursday, January 29, at 2:00 p.m. at Redeemer Church in Midland 3601 N Lamesa Rd, Midland, Texas 79705 .
