

She was a graduate of Needham Broughton High, Peace Junior College and Meredith College, earning a business degree.
She had been employed at Taylor Food Company in Raleigh, Shamrock Oil of Amarillo and Texas Employment Commission in Lubbock as a Placement Counselor.
Myra married the love of her life, Newton Robison Jr., on November 10, 1951. They resided in Amarillo before moving to Lubbock in 1955. Myra and Newt were happily married for over 65 years until her death on February 14, 2017.
The couple had one son, Newton (Robby) Robison, in 1961. She served in many capacities during his school years. Myra was a member of the P.E.O., many bridge clubs, and enjoyed Mahjong, Skip-Bo and other games.
One of Myra’s fondest memories was as a member of the Lubbockview Christian Church. She served as a deaconess, and in many other capacities in her and Newt’s 60 plus years there. They were members of Westminster Presbyterian Church at the time of her death.
Myra was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Edwin Stone, Dr. Fleming Stone, Albert Stone and Dr. William Stone.
She is survived by her loving husband and son, as well as many nieces and nephews in the Southeastern United States.
