Nan Burch

Funeral services will be held at 10am on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at Resthaven Funeral Home’s Abbey Chapel with her pastor, Rev. Jim Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Nannie Mae Burch was born on April 18, 1930, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to the late James D. and Katie (Webb) Parnell. She married Bob Burch on April 12, 1956, in Glendale, California. He preceded her in death on March 16, 1999.

Nan was a member of Monterey Baptist Church and was a Sunday School Teacher for the 3 Year Old class for 24 years. She also volunteered for Friends of the Library in Lubbock. Nan worked as a realtor and secretary for most of her life.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Sonny Parnell.

Those left to cherish her memories include two children: Robert Burch and wife Penny of Lubbock and Angela Farris and husband Sam of Lubbock; five grandchildren: Chris, Leo, Shannon, Justin, and Melissa; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Mada Easley of Strawberry, Arizona.
