Nancy Estella Keyton

Nancy was born November 10, 1943, in Lubbock, TX, daughter of Glenn Keyton and Nina (Trice) Keyton. She was the middle child of the five children (Glenda Keyton, Carolyn Young, Tom Keyton and Gary Keyton). Upon graduating high school, she went to Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX, with a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in mathematics (1971). Nancy belonged to the sorority Zeta Tau Alpha. In 1972, Nancy started with Southwestern Bell in as the first women in their middle management program. Nancy lived in Dallas, TX, for two years before moving to St Louis, Mo, with Southwestern Bell. Nancy worked for Southwestern Bell (became AT&T in 2005) for 46 years retiring in 2018 as Director of Payroll. Nancy was always keeping up with the news and keeping the family informed about what was happening. She was like her father in doing this. Nancy was very family focused in that she helped her nephew Lee Young to go to college and helped all the family at times during her life.

She is survived by her brother Tom Keyton of Centennial, CO, and sister-in-law Susan (Gary) Keyton of Lubbock. 6 nephews and nieces, 8 grand-nephews and grand-nieces.

Nancy was preceded in death by her sister, Glenda Keyton, sister and brother-in-law Carolyn & Joe Young, and her brother Gary Keyton.
