

Orphine Johnson Trammel was born in Shamrock, Texas, in 1924. To all of her family and friends, she was known as Johnnie. She was raised in Amarillo. She married Hous-ton Trammel in 1945 after he returned from WWII. They were married for 64 years. To-gether they worked in family owned businesses, raised and raced horses and cherished the love of their three children.
She was an amazing mother and grandmother and lived her life with an abundance of love and caring, for all of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Tram-mel, and son, Jerry. She is survived by her two daughters, Cheri Doyle and husband, Dick Doyle of Amarillo, and Barbara Carnes and husband, Bobby Carnes of Lubbock. Jerry, her oldest child, passed away in 1987. The loves of her life, her grandchildren, are Tami Trammel, Clay Carnes, Clare Carnes, Dusty Doyle, Casey Doyle, Tiffanie Trammel and Trent Trammel. Johnnie has eleven great grandchildren.
Visitors will be welcomed at the family home, Wednesday night, March 9th from 5:00 till 7:00, 5426-23rd Street, in Lubbock. A graveside service will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 at Resthaven.
