Patsy Jane Stroud

Patsy lived a quiet and simple life as a child. Her parents divorced when she was very young, but she said she had only good memories of her childhood.

Patsy had two siblings: a brother, James Mack Hayes, who was eight years older than she was, and a sister, Mary Freudiger, who was six years older. She was truly the baby of the family.

Patsy worked at hamburger stands, in the school cafeteria, babysat many children, and later worked at Texas Instruments and Convergys.

Patsy was married at the young age of 14 to Billy Dev Stroud on September 11, 1954. Billy was 19 years old at the time. They remained married until Billy’s passing on November 15, 2015, in Lubbock, Texas.

Patsy looked forward to being with Billy once again in their eternal home above.

Patsy will truly be missed by all her family and friends.

Patsy is survived by her daughters, Becky (Scott) Hall and Robbie (Robert) Youngquist; eight grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home & Cemetery, 5740 West 19th Street, Lubbock, TX 79407, US, on April 24, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

A Committal Service will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 5740 19th St, Lubbock, TX 79407, US, on April 24, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
