Paul David Langehennig, 69, of Brownfield, Texas went peacefully to Jesus on Saturday, January 29, 2022. A visitation with family will be held from 12:00 – 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the First Assembly of God Church in Seagraves, Texas with the Funeral service beginning at 2:00 and graveside to follow in the Seagraves Cemetery, Gaines County, Texas.
Paul was born March 5, 1952 in Winters, Texas to John Henry and Lillian Estella Langehennig the twelfth child of this clan. He grew up in Seagraves, Texas in a family known for pouring concrete and a lot of it. Paul often told stories of being young and on jobsites with his brothers, their travels doing jobs and all of the interesting things he saw his brothers do that amazed him. He loved playing football in high school and could always be found supporting his sons from the sidelines, coaching, yelling and giving advice on the game. Paul married Ida Ruth Penn, August 10, 2006 and found his forever mate. They spent every waking hour together for 15 and a half years taking care of each other. He loved to paint pictures and Ida would set up his paints, give advice on how things looked and what they needed, then proudly display them on the walls of their home. He learned to play the guitar and piano from watching his brothers and friends at church. He was amazing at learning how to play a song by ear and loved writing his own songs and music. He played & sang at the church and a great evening for him was picking on the guitar and singing with his family and grandchildren. Paul spent many hours reading and studying the Bible and got excited to share what he was studying and what he had learned. He loved to spread the joy of Jesus Christ and his love for him. Paul’s greatest gift to his children was the knowledge of the Bible and how to forgive and love unconditionally.
