Paula Faye Harrison

She was born January 26, 1932, in Hollis, OK, the youngest child of Ernest and Bertha Stephens.

She grew up in Lubbock and graduated from Lubbock High School in 1950. While in high school she met her soulmate, Wayne Harrison, and they married on July 8, 1950. They eventually established roots in Lubbock, TX after their marriage where they lived until their deaths. She was a homemaker and stay at home mother to their three children Rita, Terry, and Danny. She was a devout Christian and was a longtime member of Green Lawn Church of Christ. After her children grew up, she started doing volunteer work at local hospitals and did some various other projects, but her primary role was always a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. When, she became a grandmother she took that role and excelled at it always available to provide homecooked meals and fresh baked desserts at her house anytime for her children and grandchildren when they would visit which was often. She continued that tradition of providing a gathering place for her family with the addition of her great grandchildren until she became unable to do so due to dementia.

She is proceeded in death by her husband of 69 years, Wayne. Also proceeding her in death are her parents Ernest and Bertha, her brother Truman, her sister Dorothy Booker, and son in law Clarke Shrauner. She is survived by her daughter Rita Shrauner, son Terry and wife Vicki, and son Danny and wife Sandi, all of Lubbock. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jon Harrison, Jim Harrison, Stephanie Blount husband Alan, Jenny Ivey husband Mike, Jeffrey Shrauner, Jessica Strong husband Michael, and Kevin Harrison. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and a vast extended family,

Visitation will be held Thursday March 12, 2026, from 6:00 – 8:00pm at Resthaven Funeral Home. A service will be held at the Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home on Friday March 13, 2026, at 10:00am followed by graveside service.
