

Robert Clayton Nation, aged 83, of Lubbock Texas, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025. Born on May 3, 1942, in Alpine Tennessee, Robert dedicated his life to serving others as a registered nurse. With a Bachelor's Degree in nursing, he devoted many years to the medical field, where his gentle spirit and compassion left a lasting impact on both patients and colleagues.
Robert proudly served his country in the Air Force, demonstrating his commitment to duty and honor. He shared a beautiful marriage with his beloved wife, Peggy Sue (nee Kenney), for 60 years. Together, they built a life filled with love, shared the laughter, and unwavering support to each and the Lord.
In his spare time, Robert loved traveling and enjoyed his RV Club, he enjoyed cooking and hosting, and he loved serving in his church family. He volunteered his time at church youth summer camp for many years.
Robert leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents Delma and Willie Nation of Livingston, TN, brothers: Charlie Nation of Akron, OH, Coy Nation of Livingston, TN, Carlie Nation of Livingston, TN, sisters: Ahlene Richardson of Akron, OH, Catherine Bowers of Cookeville, TN. He is survived by his sister, Connie Dishman of Livingston, TN and nieces: Susie Verdier of Orlando, FL, Wanda Gail Pippin of Cookeville, OH, Elaine Griffin of Akron, OH and nephew, Russell Dishman of Clearwater, FL.
