Robert was born on March 5, 1956, in Del Rio, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of Lubbock, Texas, graduating from Lubbock High School in 1976. He worked for Stinnett's Food Market for over 27 years and remained in the grocery business at Amigos United and Lowes another 13 years until his retirement. Robert enjoyed listening to his music and had an impressive record collection. He also enjoyed drawing and was a gifted artist. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosita "Rose" Buentello, and his grandmother, Maria Salazar Buentello.
Robert is survived by his brother, Raul and his wife, Brenda; one niece, Jessica; two nephews; Raul, II, and his wife, Ashley, Andrew, and his wife, Liliana; one great niece, Eliana; one great nephew, Raul, III; two aunts, Alicia and Esther; two uncles, David and Joe; and countless beloved cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 11, 2018 in the Abbey Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
