

She was born on July 8th, 1930 in Lake Charles, Louisiana and grew up in El Paso, Texas attending Loretta Academy and
El Paso High School.
On March 4, 1950 she married Alfred Murrel Plant in Las Cruces NM.
Rosemarie loved to scrapbook, make jewelry, sew, and watch the Green Bay Packers. She worked as a school secretary at the Van Horn High School for ten years. She was the BEST mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and was loved & adored by her entire family.
Her motto was “To always do something extra everyday of her life for someone.”
She loved Jesus ! At Wedgewood South (Assisted Living), she could attend Church every Sunday without driving and rounded up her friends on the way to the Chapel. Then she attended another service of singing hymns for an hour following Church.
Rosemarie was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Alfred Murrel Plant, a son John Wesley Plant, parents Jasper and Thelma Doucet, two sisters and a brother. She was a member of Trinity Church.
Survivors include: three daughters, Pat (Coke) Johnston of Plano, Texas, Margie (Wayne) Taylor of Deming, New Mexico, Barbara (Bob) Burns of Lubbock: a son David (Wanda) of Orlando, Florida. Eight grandchildren, Courtney Thomason, Ryan Taylor, Jon Taylor, Joshua Taylor, Brandi Pena, Tricia Ann Goodwin, Stephen Plant, and Stacy Harmon. Four great-grandchildren Natalie Thomason, Kaylea Pena, Maddie Goodwin, Sophia Soto, numerous nieces and nephews and two sisters.
Services will be held at the Resthaven Chapel on Saturday March 9th at 1pm. Visitation with family members & friends will be Friday March 8th from 5-7 at Resthaven.
