A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 1:00 pm in Resthaven’s Abbey Chapel with Dr. Nat Cooper officiating, burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will receive guests at Resthaven Funeral Home today from 2-4 pm.
Sandra was born on January 19, 1942 in Paris, Texas to Floyd and Mary Battles. She married the love of her life Earl Lightfoot on June 10, 1959. She was a long time member of Greenlawn Church of Christ. Her greatest joy in life was being a wife and mother, and she worked out of her home as a talented seamstriss.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Daniel, brother-in-law Gary Lightfoot and wife Linda, all of Lubbock, brother-n-law Ronnie Lightfoot and wife Sally, of Eddy, Texas, brother-in-law Kenny Lightfoot and wife Pati, of Diboll, Texas, five nephews and two nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Melissa Bradley, and her husband Earl Lightfoot.
