

Tom was born on May 13, 1935, in Drifton, Pennsylvania to John and Mary (Makitka) Hollednak. He grew up and went to school in Hazel Township, Pennsylvania, graduating early in 1952. He began his career as an airplane mechanic when he enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1957, and after 20 years of service, retired in 1977. He relocated to Lubbock, Texas and worked at Avtech Aviation and Lockheed there until he retired in his sixties.
He married Wanda Jean Hare in 1979, and they moved to Shallowater shortly after.
Tom was active with the local Senior Citizens’ Center until it closed and was a proud member of Shallowater Baptist Church, where he was saved and baptized. He sang in the men’s choir for many years. He enjoyed fishing, dancing, and music.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 34 years, Wanda; his daughter; Judy; a grandson, Jayden; his brother, John, Jr., Sisters; Mary and Martha; one daughter-in-law, Charla; and sons-in-law, James and Roy.
Survivors include his son, Paul Hollednack of Hobbs, NM; Two Daughters, Tari Petty of Shallowater and Tomie Reeser of Lovington, NM; Three Step-Children; Russ(Sharon) Burran of Bridgeport, TX; Cynthia (David) Blazer of Houston, TX, and Deborah (Charles) Whisner of Weatherford, TX; Five grandsons; David, Justin, Kody, Chase, and Evan; Three granddaughters; Miranda, Lara, and Chelsea; and 12 great-grandchildren; one nephew, Rich (Frances) Hollednak of Freeland, PA, two nieces; Beverly (Robert) Ross of Weatherly, PA, and Linda Kopowich of Drifton, PA.
