Toni Annette Payne

Toni Anette Payne, 62, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on January 26, 2026. She was born in Lubbock on May 29, 1963, and spent her life leaving a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know her.

Toni was preceded in death by her father, Billy Young, and her stepmother, Geraldine Young.

She is survived by her two daughters, Cassie Payne of Lubbock and Jennifer Schierbaum and her husband, Cody, of Magnolia, Texas. She is also survived by her brother, Stephen Blair of Franklin, Texas, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins in Burkett, Waxahachie, and San Antonio, Texas.

Toni was a devoted and loving mother who worked hard to make sure her daughters always knew how deeply they were loved. Whether it was giving everyone adorable nicknames, spending joyful days at Joyland, or turning simple trips to Walmart into time together, she showed her love through presence, effort, and fun. She believed that being together mattered most.

Toni was a truly bright soul. She loved to have fun wherever she went and proudly considered herself the light of the party. Her sparkling personality, quick wit, and joyful energy drew people in effortlessly, and she had a way of making those around her feel seen, included, and uplifted. Her laughter, warmth, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

A visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 5740 W. 19th Street, Lubbock, Texas, from 1:00–2:45 p.m., with interment to follow at 3:00 p.m
