

Troy Leslie Edwards, aged 84, passed away on August 31, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas. Born on July 21, 1941, in Lorenzo, Texas, to Charlie and Edna Edwards, Troy lived a life marked by dedication to his family and community.
Troy graduated from Ralls High School and joined the army. soon embarked on a significant career in the natural gas industry, where he worked as a service specialist with Pioneer and Energas Co. for over 33 years. His work ethic and commitment to excellence were well recognized among his colleagues and friends.
In 1969, Troy married Linda Laird, who was the love of his life. Together, they raised three children, fostering a home filled with love and mutual respect. His family was his pride and joy, and he was a beloved figure not only to his children, Leisa Hall (Chad Vaughn), Scott Abney (Sherri), and Neal Edwards (Andrea), but also to his cherished grandchildren, Duane Welch (Misti), Duite Welch (Hayley), Jace Hall, Berklee Fluhman, and Dakota Fluhman. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Hunter, Hadlee, Kenna, Sawyer, Brystol, and Marley. Troy's legacy continues through his numerous nieces and nephews.
An active member of the Masons at the Yellowhouse Lodge, Troy also pursued passions beyond his professional life. He was an avid woodworker, a skill that allowed him to create beautiful pieces that his family will treasure forever. His love for bowling, dancing, and particularly horseshoe throwing, where he was notably skilled, brought joy to many gatherings.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a memorial donation to the Texas Boys and Girls Ranch. The family also wants to thank Wilshire on 4th and Grayce Hospice for all the loving care.
