Troy Wall

Troy Dean Wall was born to Elmer and Frankie Wall April 19, 1943 in Portales, NM, where he spent his childhood and early adulthood. He professed his faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized as a child at University Baptist Church. Troy met the love of his life, Goldie Carlisle, in 1963 and married her in April 1964. Traci Dawn was born in March of 1966, Terri D’Lyn followed in September 1968, and Tammi D’Ree completed their family in March of 1971. Troy served in the National Guard for six years, and was honorably discharged in July 1968.

After three moves in New Mexico, the family settled in Lubbock, Texas in 1979, where Troy spent the rest of his life with his family. Working as a Paint Contractor, Troy retired at 67 years of age, but still found odd jobs here and there. Troy enjoyed fishing on his bass boat, golfing and hunting; and raised emus for a few years. Most of all, Troy loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with them.

Troy is survived by his wife of 60 years, Goldie; daughters Terri Lennon and Tammi and Husband Brian Faz; grandchildren Taylen Drake, Teagan and her husband, John Brock; Trasyn Lennon, Tharon Lennon, Ireland Wall, Keller Faz, Trace Faz; and great grandchildren Emmalyn Brock, Paisley Brock, Gunnar Brock, Oaklynn Brock; sister Colene Perry and husband Jerry; sister Mary Lee Wall, along with nieces and nephews.

Troy is preceded in death by his daughter, Traci Dawn Wall, his parents, Elmer and Frankie Wall, and a brother, Vern Wall.

The family has requested a private graveside ceremony.
