

She met her future husband, Bobby, in Ralls in the 1940's. They were married December 27th, 1952 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. They made their home in Lubbock, where she was a homemaker and later worked for Legal Aid as a secretary. She and Bobby loved to travel, especially to Hawaii. She was a long time member of Southcrest Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bobby, brother Glen Denson, and sisters Billie Lynch and Durene Stewart.
Survivors include: two sons, Scott Taylor and wife Becky of Wichita Falls and Tony Taylor and wife Kristi of Cypress, Texas. Daughter Brenda Hollingsworth and husband Art of Lubbock. Two dear people who became like daughters in Joy's heart, Adrianne Martinez and husband Jonathan of Lubbock and Jessica Pesina and husband John of Lubbock. Niece, Rita West of North Carolina.
Grandchildren: Shannon Davis, Jeremy Davis, Zach Hollingsworth, Elise Fox, Larry Fox, Jake Taylor, Kinsley Taylor, Kylie Brashears, Kolton Brashears, Jazalynn Martinez, Gabriella Martinez, and Donavan Martinez.
Great Grandchildren: Mia Fox, Lucas Fox, Chris and Alex Fox-Meyer, and Hadley Hermis.
Great Great Grandchildren: Juniper and Isla Fox-Meyer.
Our family cannot thank Adrianne and Jessica enough for the love, care, and companionship you gave mom over the past few years!
