Williams, Willard Wallace, 85, passed away Sunday December 16, 2012 in Lubbock. Willard was born January 17, 1927 in Portales, New Mexico to Anne and Louis Williams. He grew up in eastern New Mexico and the plains of West Texas. Willard married Mattie Lee Jarnagin October 21, 1944 in Muleshoe, TX. He served in the US Army during WWII.
Willard was a wood craftsman and worked for Lubbock Asphalt until his retirement in 2001. He enjoyed square dancing, was a foster parent and a member of 12st Church of Chirst in Shallowater.
Survivors include his wife, Mattie; children, Gary Williams, Kay Stevens, Terrie Williams, Frances Griess; brother Raymond Williams; 9 grandchildren,9 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents,brothers, Edgar and Milton and sisters Minnie and Bonnie.
Graveside services will be held today December 19 at 11:30 am in Resthaven Memorial Park.
