

William J. “Bill” Droll, 85, went to be with the Lord on March 31, 2020. He was born January 19, 1935 to William and Freda Droll of Rowena, Texas. He graduated from Eola High School, San Angelo Junior College, and Texas Tech University. He received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Texas Tech. He married the love of his life, Wanda Atkins on May 14, 1962.
He served in the United States Army during peace time. He was employed at Reese Air Force Base, The Corps of Engineers, Department of Defense, and Texas Tech University. His hobbies included, being with family and friends, church, dancing, home projects, and architecture. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and Polka Dancers of Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Freda Droll; wife, Wanda Atkins; and one brother, Carl Droll. He is survived by his children, Terry (Carl) Stokes of Slaton, TX, Joan (Corey) McNeil of Lubbock, TX, and Brent Droll of Austin, TX; four grandchildren, Magen Reaves, Morgan Stone, Carlyle Stokes, and Aubrey Cavazos; 8 great grandchildren, one brother, Harvey Droll; and four sisters, Lucille Holfmann, Ethel Weishuhn, Dorothy Hirt, and Jean Hirt.
