Zelta Hess

Celebration of life services for Zelta Hess 85, of Lubbock will be held at 11 am, Monday, September 19, 2011 at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Pastor Baron Eliason officiating. A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 pm, today at Resthaven Funeral Home.

She passed from this life Friday, September 16, 2011.

Zelta was born August 22, 1926 in Becton, Texas to the late James and Elizabeth (Bennie) Reid.

She graduated from Idalou High School. Zelta graduated from Parkland Nursing School.

She married the love of her life, Dr. Wallace Hess, June 15, 1947 in Abernathy, Texas.

She served as a wedding coordinator for Dunlap’s before becoming the office manager and Registered Nurse for her husband’s medical office for many years.

Zelta was a charter member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her loving husband; Dr. Wallace Hess, sons; David Hess of Dallas, Larry Hess and wife, Susan of Lubbock, and Randy Hess and wife, Mary Beth, of Los Angeles, CA., grandchildren; McKinley Hess Lee and husband, Brandon, Dr. Nicole Hess and husband, Kevin Jentes, Lauren Saez and husband Jeb and Maggie Hess and great grandson; Wyatt Saez.
