

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marie and Arvel Snodgrass. She grew up on a farm and loved everything about farm life. She was active at Whiteface High School, serving as class officer, majorette and basketball player, among other things. She married Sonny Roulain on June 8, 1956. She is survived by son, Donald Ross and his wife Lisa and their children, Katie and Regan Pearson. She is survived by grandson Derick Roulain.
She had a Strong work ethnic and many of her favorite quotes and scriptures had to do with working hard and doing the job right. She worked on the farms, kept the books and assisted at the garage, worked at Timex and retired after 20 years with Mobil Oil Corporation. She maintained many fond memories and close friendships from her time at Mobil. One of her proudest worldly possessions was the grandfather clock she received in honor of her years of service.
She became the caregiver for Dr. Lester Wolcott until his passing and then stayed on with the extended family. She treasured the times she spent with Roger, De Lyn, Conner, Katey and Korynn. There are many others she loved dearly and were the recipients of her nurturing and compassion.
She is survived by her brother, WB Snodgrass, and his wife Lana;her sister, Zada Cave and husband, Daniel and many loving aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister, Muriel Zo Wilson. Her passion for basketball stayed strong and once she moved to Lubbock, she loved going to Lady Raider basketball games. Frequently, she could be found with a hoe in her hand and tending to her yard. She was happy that she had moved to Lubbock to be closer to family and friends and was enjoying her new home.
She lived her life full of gratitude and she wrote in her journal daily. She favored a quote by Charles Kingsbury that includes the phrase, "lie down at night...being able to say,'I have made one human being at least a little wiser or a little happier, or at least a little better the day'." Zona certainly did that and those she touched will be forever grateful.
